Mathieu wanted to cut ties with Alexandrie. One talk later, they kiss. A step-by-step recap of the October 7 OD Panamá episode, with our verdicts.
Some episodes pack in a lot. Others need just one scene to get all of Quebec talking. On Wednesday night, OD Panamá delivered both: a spectacular reversal, a tense girls' house and a trip to the Andes that could reshape the couples. Here is everything, one step at a time.
- Mathieu wanted to move on from Alexandrie. He ends the conversation kissing her passionately.
- Imane demands answers in the girls' house, and Emma fires back.
- Juliette heads to Ecuador with Alexis, and Zhara is left puzzled.
- Billy sits next to Engie, and Emma sees red.
Why Mathieu was completely lost
Mathieu
SabrinaTo understand Wednesday's scene, we need to go back to last Sunday. During the October 4 double elimination, Sabrina left the adventure, to everyone's surprise. For Mathieu, it was a shock: he saw her as his new top 1.
What he didn't know: after their first meeting, Sabrina had told the girls' house she wasn't interested in him. Her reason was clear: she didn't see herself becoming a stepmother, a dealbreaker for her at the time.
The clear-the-air talk that ended in a passionate kiss
Mathieu
AlexandrieOn Wednesday, Mathieu and Alexandrie get a one-on-one to clear the air. For Alexandrie, it's a tough pill to swallow: back from her trip, she learns her top 1 had chosen Sabrina. Sabrina, her ally, who showed no interest in him at all before she left.
Mathieu arrives with a plan: set things straight, maybe even cut ties. One conversation later, the plan has completely changed. It ends with a very intense kiss, the kind of scene that sets social media on fire the same night.
Imane demands answers, Emma fires back
Imane
EmmaImane still hasn't gotten over Sunday. The girls eliminated her top 1, Jacob, and her close friend Sabrina. On Wednesday, she asks for an explanation.
Emma's response doesn't go unnoticed: "I don't get what Imane's problem is." To her, it's a non-event and it's time to move on. Easy to say when you still haven't chosen between Enzo and Billy.
Imane looks for a new ally
Imane
ZharaRight after, Imane takes Zhara aside. Her goal: bring her closer to her side, now that Sabrina is no longer there to back her up.
Destination Ecuador, over 4,000 metres up
Juliette
AlexisZharaAll the contestants gather in the girls' house for the trip of the week announcement: Ecuador, more than 4,000 metres above sea level, with the breathtaking landscapes of the Andes.
The lucky one: Juliette, who will fly out with Alexis. Zhara, who had been trying to build chemistry with him, is left puzzled. To be fair, many viewers already doubted this budding relationship would hold.
Billy picks his seat, Emma sees red
Billy
EngieEmmaDuring that same announcement, Billy makes a choice that says a lot: he sits next to the newcomer, Engie. Emma does not take it well.
Remember, Emma still hasn't chosen between Billy and Enzo. Hard to blame Billy for looking elsewhere when you're keeping two options open yourself.
The night's scorecard
The ONE WAY OUT poll: who leaves on Sunday?
The next OD Panamá elimination night is expected on Sunday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. on Noovo. After this week, several names are going around: Emma, who lost points with viewers, Zhara, who just watched Alexis fly off with someone else, or Imane, who lost both her allies last Sunday.
Your turn. Last week, not one of our readers saw Sabrina and Jacob's double elimination coming. Pick the contestant you think is going home in this article's ONE WAY OUT poll, and the public's verdict lands in your inbox before the show.
