Who Is Cocotte? Real Name, Age, Former Firefighter and Her Spot on Lewis's Team

Who is Cocotte? Real name Arianne Vallières, 26, former firefighter, 1M Instagram followers, P5 at GP Explorer and on Lewis's team for Nov. 21.

Before the Twitch streams, before the race car at Le Mans and the hockey jersey at the Centre Vidéotron, there was a firefighter from the Quebec suburbs studying administration at university. Then the pandemic hit, she picked up a controller, and four years later more than a million people follow her on Instagram alone. A large share of them live in France. Her name is Cocotte, and she is the reason Lewis le Fou's team has a voice no rival can drown out.

Who is Cocotte, really?

Behind the handle is Arianne Vallières. Her creator name comes from a Quebec word for a pine cone, also used as an affectionate nickname. She went by Cocotte long before "Cocottee" became a Twitch channel, created on February 28, 2021.

What makes her story stand out is the starting point. Before streaming, she worked as a firefighter and studied administration. "If the pandemic gave me anything, it is my current career," she told Noovo Info. In a few weeks, streaming went from a pastime to a full-time job.

The Quebecer who conquered France without changing her accent

Most Quebec creators who try France end up softening their accent. Cocotte did the opposite. She kept her expressions, her energy and her joual, and the French audience adopted her for exactly that. Today, the majority of her community lives across the Atlantic, a market very few Quebec creators manage to hold for long.

"People come to listen to me for my personality," she says. Her lives are less about the game than about the company: a lot of her viewers, in her own words, feel alone, and she tries to make their evening better.

From GP Explorer to the Parc des Princes: her biggest moments

Her breakthrough in France came through Squeezie's GP Explorer. In September 2023, she co-hosted the second edition alongside Doigby, an event that drew more than 20 million views and 60,000 people on site. Two years later, she was behind the wheel herself.

Then came soccer, her sport. On May 24, 2026, she took the field at the Parc des Princes for AmineMaTue's Eleven All Stars 2 against the Sidemen, in front of about 50,000 people. "A childhood dream just came true," she wrote, adding that she gave everything despite a bleeding foot.

One Way's take
Why brands keep an eye on Cocotte

She is one of the rare Quebec creators with a real audience on both sides of the Atlantic. For a brand, that means a single partnership that speaks to Quebec and France at once, carried by a personality people show up for, not just a game.

Cocotte and Lewis le Fou: the first woman on the team

On March 4, 2026, during a live Twitch stream, Lewis announced Cocotte as the very first woman to join his team. Her own scouting report was refreshingly honest.

"I can skate, I can handle a hockey stick, but I'm not necessarily good. I get by."

She also mentioned four years of karate, plus soccer and volleyball. On April 4, 2026, at the Colisée de Laval, she showed it: early in the second period, she clashed with Sandrine Séguin from Primeau's team, one of the most replayed moments of the night.

The real story, though, happened in the locker room. Hours before the game, Cocotte learned that her ex-boyfriend Alexis had died in a car accident. He had bought tickets to watch her play. Between periods, she told her teammates she wanted to win for him. Coach Georges Laraque later said that speech changed everything: Team Lewis came back from behind and won 4-3 in overtime on a goal by Max Lavoie.

Her spot for the November 21 rematch at the Centre Vidéotron

For the rematch against Olivier Primeau on November 21, in front of 18,250 people in Quebec City, Lewis kept Cocotte in his lineup. She plays on the development line, a group built around creators with huge audiences and plenty to prove on the ice.

L'usine de peurs: her first TV show

Since September 30, 2026, Cocotte hosts L'usine de peurs on Crave: 12 episodes of 30 minutes in which creators spend a night facing horror challenges she designed herself. Lewis le Fou, Farley, Flamby, Gab Gagnon and Maude Therrien are among the guests, with a 20,000 dollar prize on the line.
