OD Panamá: Jacob and Mathilde Eliminated as Imane and Olivier Make the Final Call

Sunday night, OD Panamá started in costume and ended in tears. A Halloween party that turned up the heat, a first kiss for Mathilde and Jacob, confessions that moved both houses, a very close night for Emma and Enzo, and to finish, a chain of saves that left Imane and Olivier facing an impossible choice. Here is everything you need to know.

Halloween turns up the heat

The Halloween party set the tone. Juliette, dressed as an elf, and Alexis, in costume too, wasted no time before kissing. A natural next step for a duo that has shared the same energy since Juliette arrived.

Another first kiss of the night: Mathilde and Jacob. A quick connection, in a house where several couples spent the evening wondering who would be the next to leave.

Imane kissed Olivier with an excuse all her own: she had missed the orange juice sip challenge, so she wanted to do it with him. Billy and Émilie kissed in the closet, then outside, where things got very sensual. And Mathieu and Alexandrie picked the bathroom for a kiss of their own.

Frédérick opens up, Alexandrie hits the brakes

A powerful moment: Frédérick told Sabrina about his past with drugs. Sabrina said she did not see it coming, but that she found it really beautiful that he had the strength and honesty to tell her.

Alexandrie opened up too. Unlike Mathieu, who would be ready to tell her "I love you", she is not. She is not sure she really knows him: in her eyes, OD is a bubble that does not necessarily reflect real life.

Isla Iguana for Mathilde and Jacob, a close night for Emma and Enzo

Two contestants were picked to fly to Isla Iguana, a small island off the coast of Panamá known for its beaches and iguanas: Mathilde and Jacob. On the agenda, swimming and iguana watching. Jacob even said Mathilde seemed to tick every box on his list. A line that raised eyebrows, barely two days after he was in tears over Imane's friendzone.

On their side, Emma and Enzo learned during their trip that they were protected from elimination. They could also protect another couple. Enzo was thinking of Tristan and Alanna, or Billy and Émilie, but Emma was set on protecting Mathieu and Alexandrie, no matter what. Her choice won.

The trip also brought windsurfing and ATV rides. Enzo won the windsurfing race, which earned him the prize of their little bet: sleeping next to Emma that night. The closeness was very real, even though Emma made it clear she did not want to go all the way on television.

Billy is tired of being called strategic

While Mathilde and Jacob were away, Émilie told Alexandrie that you can never be sure you are not being played: Mathilde seems to really like Jacob, even though he came back to the adventure for Imane and fell apart when she friendzoned him.

At the boys' house, tension rose when Billy heard the girls think he is being strategic with Émilie. Billy stands his ground: there is no strategy, he simply turned down Emma to choose Émilie, and he is getting tired of that reading.

A chain of saves, and Jacob and Mathilde leave the adventure

The elimination night worked as a chain: each couple saved had to save another. Protected by Emma and Enzo, Mathieu and Alexandrie named Enzo and Emma. Enzo and Emma saved Tristan and Alanna, who in turn saved Billy and Émilie.

The rest played out on OD Extra. Billy and Émilie saved Alexis and Juliette, who chose Imane and Olivier. That left Imane and Olivier holding the final decision: save Sabrina and Frédérick, or Jacob and Mathilde.

Jacob and Mathilde are eliminated.

Imane and Olivier chose to protect Sabrina and Frédérick. Jacob and Mathilde leave the adventure. Their connection formed in a slightly more strategic way, since Jacob never really got the chance to prove himself to Imane, the reason he came back.

Marketing expert takeWhat the night says about the OD audience

The OD audience has a great memory. Two days after watching Jacob cry over Imane, viewers found his sudden spark with Mathilde hard to believe, and our readers put him at the top of their predictions. In marketing as on TV, a story that changes direction too fast loses its audience's trust.

Another signal worth watching: Noovo and Crave are now opening the fan-favourite vote. Letting fans vote gives them a role in the story, and that is exactly what turns viewers into a community. It is the same principle behind our ONE WAY OUT poll.

Fan favourite: voting is open

New from now on: the public picks its fan favourite of the season. Voting is open on Crave.

The ONE WAY OUT poll: who leaves Sunday?

Voting for the Sunday, November 8 elimination night is open at the top of this article. The finale is getting close: pick up to two names, and the public's verdict lands in your inbox before the show.
