A joyful and inclusive collaboration between Citron Rose and Radio-Canada to celebrate the premiere of Lakay Nou Season 2 through a community-driven on-site activation.

To celebrate the launch of Lakay Nou Season 2, Citron Rose partnered with Radio-Canada for an immersive content activation during the premiere screening at Maison Radio-Canada. Through a GRWM pre-event video and an interactive on-site presence, Citron Rose guided her audience behind the scenes with a “Come with me” approach. From public interviews to authentic reactions and cultural exchanges, her Reel reflected the essence of the event: celebrating Black Excellence and the vibrant Haitian-Québécois community. Her content highlighted not only the artists behind the series but the attendees themselves — putting the spotlight where it belonged: on the people.

Our approach

For this collaboration, we leaned into emotion and spontaneity. Citron Rose invited her audience into the experience from the very beginning first through an intimate GRWM, then by capturing real interactions at the heart of the event. Rather than centering the series itself, she chose to spotlight the people it was made for: the community. The result is a piece of content that feels lived-in, honest, and grounded much like Lakay Nou itself.

Strategic Planning Before the Event

We collaborated closely with Radio-Canada to design a light, joyful, and inclusive experience. A “Get Ready With Me” video introduced the series and teased the event, generating anticipation on social media.

On-Site Community Interaction

Citron Rose led with a “Come with me” storytelling approach, interacting with the audience and artisans through candid interviews and reactions while respecting the no-filming policy of the screening.

Platform-Specific Optimization

We adapted all content for TikTok and Instagram, tagging @icitoutv and @radiocanada and integrating hashtags like #LakayNou and #RadioCanada to increase discoverability.

Editorialized Narrative Aligned with Series Themes

The content echoed the series' key narrative themes intergenerational tension, identity, and resilience — all while spotlighting audience reactions and the cultural pride surrounding the event.
